I made my first online purchase!

Transaction is successfully completed. Yay!
Hopefully my items will arrive safe and sound.

EDIT:
The items arrived on Tuesday, which was faster than I'd predicted. I'm satisfied with the shipping, but two of the products are faulty. The 20 gauge wire is already rusting and the round nose pliers are not flexible. It seems there is a problem with the spring. My client, who initially wanted the butterfly crystal as a pendant, wanted something else when she saw how big the pendant was. "It doesn't look like a butterfly!", she said. Also, I got the wrong 8mm crystal beads - they weren't supposed to be AB's.

So, I shipped the products back to the seller and the seller promised to ship me a new wire and arrange a refund for the other returned items. I will post an update on how things work out. Hopefully together we can find a solution.

29.02.2012

Today is a day which occurs only once in four years.

Today, one of my colleagues decided to resign. So, we decided to throw an awesome farewell party at lunch time. It's not actually a party, but rather a meal at the local Seafood Restaurant! We ordered paddy-chili soup, spicy crabs which were quite fleshy, sweet and sour pork, a dish of humongous bivalve molluscs and a plate of veggies.

The crab pincers were quite big, and the flesh was elastic and overflowing. I'm sorry for such a disgusting descriptive, but it was really full and meaty. The sweet and sour pork was nice and the mollusc was surprisingly good, considering I usually don't take them due to the fishy smell and strange taste. I often wondered if I was eating their shit. And, I nearly had a tongue burn due to my accidental bite on a paddy-chilly seed. It wasn't what I'd call hot and spicy, but a painful burning sensation.

Alice generously took out her wallet and announced that the meal is on her. Thank you so much, Alice! The food was heavenly. My stomach was so full that I lasted through dinner.

All the best to you, Stella! May your future days be filled with luck and happiness! :)

Forgetful. Fuss.

I forgot to bring my laptop home on Friday - I left it in a room in the office, and it was left there, plugged-in the whole night. I was so afraid of what might happen to my laptop that I couldn't sleep well. I imagine it bursting due to 18 long hours of continuous charging.

At night, I called Stella and got Ms. Pung's number. The next morning, I called Ms. Pung to ask her whether she has Alice's number. When I got Alice's number, I called her and asked her if she was coming to town that morning. When she said no, I telephoned Ms. Pung again and told her that Alice couldn't make it to town. Ms. Pung kindly offered to drop by since she was going to attend a wedding party in Lumut. I agreed as this seemed to the final resort even though I felt bad to be troubling her.

Later, my cousin Ann SMS'ed me saying that her mom will be going to the market and then to the office and asked me to go over in 20 minutes. I went over and found my aunt/boss watering the plants, telling me she didn't see my laptop anywhere. "It was in the small room", I replied. "I wanted to recharge it because its battery is low."

Finally. I saved my laptop. And I heaved a sigh of relief to know that it was unharmed. At least it seemed so. At home, I gave Ms. Pung a call, telling her that I had gotten my laptop back and thanked her again for offering her help.

All these trouble I've caused - simply because I forgot to bring it home.

Please remind me to use my brain more next time.

Annoyed :/

I have a friend, an ex-classmate who was in the same primary school with me. A few days ago, she messaged me on Facebook, asking for my handphone number. I didn't suspect anything and gave her my number. And that's where my trouble starts.

Turns out, this friend of mine is involved in MLM (Multi-level marketing) or in other words, direct selling. She continues to bug me day and night, explaining that she wants to share what she learns from the company with me. I politely declined, but she's like a mite that won't get off your scalp. I am working 9 hours a day, for Pete's sake, and I am definitely NOT interested in direct selling, but she keeps on pestering me.

Yesterday at 11 o'clock in the night, she called me. Again.

So, she asked me why I'm avoiding her. In the name of God, it's so obvious, do you even have to ask?

She continued to ramble on about how she admires me. Hell, yeah.

http://moodyncheeky.files.wordpress.com/2010/12/annoyed20monkeyqb0.jpg?w=490
It's why she decided to introduce me to direct selling. Excuse me, but haven't I told you a dozen times that I'm not interested? Can't you just get off me and find someone else to pester?

http://image.shutterstock.com/display_pic_with_logo/83138/83138,1266080979,2/stock-vector-brain-smiling-46587178.jpg
She said that she wants to share her experience with me 'cos I'm clever and will understand her. Yeah, that's exactly why I'm avoiding you like the plague. 'Cos I have brains.

http://imgc.allpostersimages.com/images/P-473-488-90/60/6004/2RDB100Z/posters/david-sipress-two-beggars-side-by-side-on-the-street-one-has-a-sign-reading-spare-a-di-new-yorker-cartoon.jpg
And, as if to strengthen her point, she said, that's why I won't be sharing my experiences with a group of beggars, 'cos they are stupid and they won't understand what I'm saying anyway. Hey, girl. I don't care if you're sharing with a group of beggars or otherwise. I don't even care if you're talking to stuffed animals. And, for your information, beggars are not stupid. Stop insulting them because they are impoverished.

Later, she insisted that she will be coming over to my house on Saturday. I didn't have the heart to reject her, 'cos I know that she'll come anyway.

OK, fine. Come over then, I said.

She seemed to sense my displeasure and continued with her fake saccharine tone, I just want to be friends with you again. It has been so long since we last met. Oh, yeah, like I'd believe you. Six years of no communication at all - and all of a sudden you want to be my good friend. Give me three reasons why I should trust you. And just so you know, friendship isn't based on money and benefits, it's based on a true heart and sincerity. Please don't use friendship as an excuse to trick me into becoming your branch into prosperity, 'cos that ain't gonna happen.

Unbelievable!

I seriously thought I had flunked my Add Maths test, but when the results came out, I actually scored 25/30! It's a miracle! I didn't know how to do the 3(b) question and last question, which altogether consist of 10 marks. I thought I'm doomed, but THANK GOD! I guessed one of the answers correctly, and earned 2 marks for that section. Some of my workings were also given marks even though they were wrong. Therefore, I can conclude that I got good results because of sheer luck, so I have to be more hardworking when it comes to Add Maths in the future! :)

Also, I just got an award from YA Vampire Books a few days ago. I'll blog about it when I have time. Thanks for reading!

Yay! Straight A's!

Today I went to school to get my PMR results. I was neither nervous nor anxious. I felt strangely peaceful, calm...and emotionless. (Am I crazy or too cool?) I thought : Well, even if I didn't get full A's, I'd still be the same. I won't cry overnight hugging my pillow. And even if I passed with flying colours, I'm still me. I won't fly into the sky and kiss an angel.

Hey, talking about angels, did you guys read Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick? I'm currently reading it. It was quite unpredictable, which I loved. I never saw the bay guy coming. I won the book over at Teens Read and Write, a wonderful book review blog. Be sure to check it out!

OK, back to the topic. Over 40 students score straight A's, and I'm one of them. However, everyone wore a different mask of expression. Some were esctatic and laughing, some were shrieking with joy and disbelief; while some were weeping and sobbing.

Today is officially the end of our "honeymoon year", because more will be coming in the future. I hope I won't get too much pressure for learning all the new subjects and topics I will be introduced to next year.

I won't know what my future is, and I don't know what my goals are, but I hope that God will lead me to the right path. May God bless everyone I know. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Make sure you watch the K-drama Boys Over Flowers every Monday - Friday 8.30 pm @8tv! I highly recommend it to everyone!

I got a whole stack of books from a lovely middle-aged woman today. These are all free samples and she kindly offered all of them to me! How great is that! I think all these probably cost more than RM 100.

I flipped open the Physics book and found an interesting question:

Q : Why do grass appear green?
A : Grass appear green because the leaves of the grass absorb all the colours of the spectrum except green. Green light is reflected, therefore grass appears green.

I always thought it was the chlorophyll...

My 7-year-old (youngest) brother Jack broke his arm yesterday while riding his bicycle up a hill. No, it's not a hill, it's a small pile of red soil. The poor little baby walked home with tear streaks on his chubby face and kept complaining his how his arm hurts. My dad 'rushed' him to the hospital at 40 km/h because the pain on Jack's arm started to double up every time the car vibrates. He had a bandage and couldn't move his arm. How my heart hurts when I see him in pain!

I don't remember when is this photo taken, but I want to share it with all of you. Have you ever seen a baby pomelo growing inside a big pomelo?
