How About Some Luck?

It's been 8 days since I actually posted something on my blog. I was having a trial exam, so I only had time to check my mails and do nothing else. I have loads of mails --- and 50% of them are spam. It's my ignorance that lead to this. I should have written my e-mail in this format aikychien at yahoo dot com to prevent spammers from disturbing me.

Well, I checked my mailbox yesterday, and found out something really surprising and exciting. I'm the winner of ITE’s $106 Gift Card Giveaway on In This Economy! At first I thought I was one of the lucky winners who won a gift card, but I was wrong. There is only one winner...and it's MOI! I won all the gift cards! Check out the winner announcement here.

*moi = me

My winnings:
$10 at Amazon.com (4 cards)
$10 at Barnes & Noble (2 cards)
$15 at Walmart
$10 at Sonic
$5 at Coldstone Creamery (2 cards)
$5 at Burger King
$5 at Cinemark Movie Theatres
Some shitty seeds that are worth maybe a dollar

This is SO GREAT! The man pronounced my name as 'alk' at first, but later another man corrected his pronunciation. To my surprise, he later pronounced my name even more precisely than some of the people around me.

OK, now for the bad news. I did poorly in my exam. Perhaps it's because I'm seriously addicted to the Internet. I even had to on the laptop, I mean to check my mailbox and take a look at my blog when there's another exam tomorrow. I'm sad now. (Sob...)

My mum brought my sister and I to a specialist center just now to get a vaccination for preventing cervical cancer. The doctor explained some things to us and I kept on asking questions to delay the injection. The 'shot' was so painful! And we have to get two more vaccinations a few months later.

Ouch is the shot really that bad? I think it's awesome they're giving them out to girls under 16, but I remember all the various jabs we got in school were not so fun.

Yeah, it really hurts. The doctor actually inserted the needle until the muscle part.

Honestly, I haven't thought about that. I think I'll share them with my family (or maybe friends). Some gift certificates like Coldstone Creamery (ice-creams) can only be redeemed in some countries, which means, it's not available in Malaysia. I won't give them away, though. I will wait until I have the chance to EAT the ice-creams! (I'm an absolute foodie.) XD
