Hopefully my items will arrive safe and sound.

The items arrived on Tuesday, which was faster than I'd predicted. I'm satisfied with the shipping, but two of the products are faulty. The 20 gauge wire is already rusting and the round nose pliers are not flexible. It seems there is a problem with the spring. My client, who initially wanted the butterfly crystal as a pendant, wanted something else when she saw how big the pendant was. "It doesn't look like a butterfly!", she said. Also, I got the wrong 8mm crystal beads - they weren't supposed to be AB's.

So, I shipped the products back to the seller and the seller promised to ship me a new wire and arrange a refund for the other returned items. I will post an update on how things work out. Hopefully together we can find a solution.

Today is a day which occurs only once in four years.

Today, one of my colleagues decided to resign. So, we decided to throw an awesome farewell party at lunch time. It's not actually a party, but rather a meal at the local Seafood Restaurant! We ordered paddy-chili soup, spicy crabs which were quite fleshy, sweet and sour pork, a dish of humongous bivalve molluscs and a plate of veggies.

The crab pincers were quite big, and the flesh was elastic and overflowing. I'm sorry for such a disgusting descriptive, but it was really full and meaty. The sweet and sour pork was nice and the mollusc was surprisingly good, considering I usually don't take them due to the fishy smell and strange taste. I often wondered if I was eating their shit. And, I nearly had a tongue burn due to my accidental bite on a paddy-chilly seed. It wasn't what I'd call hot and spicy, but a painful burning sensation.

Alice generously took out her wallet and announced that the meal is on her. Thank you so much, Alice! The food was heavenly. My stomach was so full that I lasted through dinner.

Forgetful. Fuss.

I forgot to bring my laptop home on Friday - I left it in a room in the office, and it was left there, plugged-in the whole night. I was so afraid of what might happen to my laptop that I couldn't sleep well. I imagine it bursting due to 18 long hours of continuous charging.

At night, I called Stella and got Ms. Pung's number. The next morning, I called Ms. Pung to ask her whether she has Alice's number. When I got Alice's number, I called her and asked her if she was coming to town that morning. When she said no, I telephoned Ms. Pung again and told her that Alice couldn't make it to town. Ms. Pung kindly offered to drop by since she was going to attend a wedding party in Lumut. I agreed as this seemed to the final resort even though I felt bad to be troubling her.

Later, my cousin Ann SMS'ed me saying that her mom will be going to the market and then to the office and asked me to go over in 20 minutes. I went over and found my aunt/boss watering the plants, telling me she didn't see my laptop anywhere. "It was in the small room", I replied. "I wanted to recharge it because its battery is low."

Finally. I saved my laptop. And I heaved a sigh of relief to know that it was unharmed. At least it seemed so. At home, I gave Ms. Pung a call, telling her that I had gotten my laptop back and thanked her again for offering her help.

All these trouble I've caused - simply because I forgot to bring it home.

Please remind me to use my brain more next time.
