ROMWE Review: Cut-out Back Pleated Lake-Blue Dress

From the first moment I laid my eyes on this dress, I knew I must have it. So I placed an order on ROMWE. The processing time was 5 days for this dress, and the shipping took around 10 days. It's a little waiting here and there, but I'm not complaining since it's free worldwide shipping.

On a side note, when I bought it on the 14th December, it was at the original price of $31.99, but 3 days later it was on offer at $20.89 for the Christmas sale. I nearly had a heart attack. (TvT) A dollar difference in USD means a variance of MYR3.50. If only I had the patience to wait for 3 more days!

The dress arrived safely, and I was so excited to finally get it! FYI, Romwe will get you a tracking number for the items you ordered, which they deliver separately (in my case). I'd rather receive them all in a bundle though to save the time for checking the transportation of the goods, since there's not much to worry about lost parcels with the tracking numbers provided.

The PROS:

The design is very pretty. :)

The fabric is something like milk chiffon, which is soft to the touch.

The inner lining is made of satin fabric.

The CONS:

Loose lines here and there. Not a big problem though, I can deal with these easily with a pair of scissors.
The fabric is easily creased, so you'll have to iron it lightly before you wear. It is also advisable to hang it in your closet immediately after you iron instead of putting it back into the ROMWE plastic bag to avoid the fabric from being crumpled again.

CONCLUSION:

Quality
The overall quality of this dress was quite good, but I'm not pleased with how they finish the ends of the skirt (particularly with this type of sewing method). It looks cheaply-made at a closer look, though it is not noticeable when you actually wear it or see the dress from afar. By the way, you have to wear a NuBra if you wish to wear this dress, 'cos your whole back is exposed. For the quality, I'd rate it 4 out of 5.

Price
Considering the price, I'd expected more in terms of quality. $31.99 USD is equivalent to MYR105, which is quite expensive However, I love the ethereal and classy look of the dress, so I'm willing to forgo the price for this once.

Customer Service
Together with this dress, I ordered a French Nail Art Decal valued at $5.99, but it never arrived. One thing about this company that I don't like is the Live Chat feature since most of the time I'm not able to reach the people on the other side and end up leaving offline messages which they never replied.

UPDATE: I have received the French Nail Art Decal today (18/1/2014).

However, the conversations I've had with the customer service department representatives by e-mail went quite well. Two representatives named Ariel or Alice have responded well to my e-mails inquiring about the shipment of my orders. I usually get their feedback in a day or two.
